Review HP Pavilion Dv5t – entertainment and productivity
The latest HP Pavilion dv5t replaces the dv6000 series notebooks from HP. The notebook comes with some advantages we were not in the previous series they replace. It has a very attractive design, have stronger wireless range, faster hard drive and remain cool. The notebook is convenient to carry weighing at 5.19 pounds and 1.22 inch thick.
The HP Pavilion dv5t includes the Intel Core i3-350M Dual Core processor with the option of upgrading to Intel Core i5, Intel HD graphics with advanced 3D capabilities. The Intel HD graphics has improved visual performance for sharper images, richer color, and wonderful video and audio. This means you can play high quality high definition videos and perform 3D applications without the need for discrete graphics card. This laptop is thus faster than the one it replaces.
When you look at the design of the HP Pavilion dv5t, it looks quite similar to the HP Envy notebooks and the MacBook Pro. However, it is not constructed from metal like the Envys and MacBook Pro but rather from plastic. That explains why it costs cheaper than other notebooks of its class. The note book is beautiful; the corners are rounded/ not sharp. It is glossy and reflective. It comes in through wonderful colors; black cherry, champagne, and sonoma red.
The HP Pavilion dv5t includes three USB Ports, one Ethernet port, an HDMI port, VGA output headphone port, a mic port and a 5-in-1 digital media card reader. It also comes with webcam. With the HDMI, you can connect to the HDTV and have a fantastic display on wide screen. The notebook also includes an integrated DVD burner and optional Blu-ray drive.
The keyboard is backlit and the keys are soft. However, you can choose that with full size island-style keyboard. The 14.5″ HD BrightView LED Display has a resolution of 1366 x 768. The HP Pavilion dv5t comes with two battery options. One is the high capacity 6 Cell Lithium Ion standard battery but whose capacity is 16 percent more than the standard HP 6-cell battery.
